Go Dad!

I remember the evening of 6/10/2000. It was about 7:00 PM when I got a call from my mother. The Minnesota Twins were down by only 1 point! And my FATHER was up to bat! At first, I thought it was a joke. When I turned on the TV, I saw his number. It was the most exciting day for me! Countless people were watching him. It was the last inning. The bases were loaded. His first chance to prove himself, and he could be the team's hero if he did well. Crack! He hit the ball. It sailed into the grandstands. Go dad! GO! Everyone around me was screaming. That day will forever be known to me as the day my dad became a professional baseball champion.
