Unit 12 More Initial-Letter Contractions: Dots 4-5-6 Indicator
These 6 contractions are made up of two consecutive braille cells. The first indicator cell is made up of dots 4, 5 and 6. The second cell uses the first letter or letters of the word it represents.
These contractions may generally be used wherever the letters they represent occur.
Exception: Only use ‘had' as part of a word when the ‘a' is pronounced as a short vowel. Example: Don't use it in the word shade
