Unit 9 Initial-Letter Contractions: Dot 5 Indicator
These contractions are made up of two consecutive braille cells. The first indicator cell is a dot 5 and the second cell uses the initial letter or letters of the word it represents.
These contractions may generally be used wherever the letters they represent occur. They can represent a whole word or part of a word.
