Energy from the Sun
The sun is up. The day is warm and light. The sun goes down. The night is cool and dark. Heat and light are kinds of energy. Heat and light come from the sun. Green plant leaves catch the energy from the sun.
Make two paper leaves. Make them about as big as your hand. Color the leaves dark, dark green with a crayon. Put one out in the bright sunlight. Put the other one in the shade. After about one hour, touch the leaves. The one in the shade is cool. Feel the heat energy from the one in the sun. The paper leaf has the energy from the sun in it.
